SkyMe is designed to work without user accounts and without collecting personal or sensitive personal information.

The app retrieves movie content via SkyMe’s own API hosted on skyme.com.
Trailers may be opened via YouTube.

Information we do not collect (SkyMe App)
The SkyMe App is designed for maximum privacy:

• No user accounts or profiles
• No location data
• No device identifiers
• No analytics or tracking data in the App
• No advertising identifiers

Website Analytics (skyme.com only)
On our website (skyme.com), we use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site and to improve our content.

• Google Analytics uses cookies to collect aggregated, anonymous usage data (such as pages visited, time spent, and region).
• Consent required: Google Analytics tracking scripts are only loaded if you explicitly click “Accept” on our privacy consent banner. If you do not consent, no analytics data is collected.
• The SkyMe App does not contain Google Analytics or any tracking code.

Information you voluntarily provide

• Any optional information you include in feedback messages
• Search terms you enter when looking for movies (used only to return results)

Local data stored on your device
SkyMe app allows you to create a personal Watchlist to save movies you are interested in.
This information is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to SkyMe servers or any third party.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Respond to feedback and support requests you send us
• Improve age recommendations, summaries and parent notes
• Maintain the stability and security of the Service
• Analyze website traffic trends (skyme.com only, based on aggregated data)
• SkyMe does not use personal data to train AI models.

SkyMe does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

SkyMe uses a limited number of trusted third-party services to deliver content:

• YouTube – used only when you choose to open or watch a movie trailer. Playback may be subject to YouTube’s own privacy practices.
• Google Analytics (Website Only) – used to analyze website traffic on skyme.com. This service is only active if you provide consent.
• WordPress, hosting, CDN and security providers – used only to deliver content and protect the service against abuse.

The SkyMe App does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking services.

4. Children’s Privacy

SkyMe is designed for parents and caregivers, not for children.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

5. Data Retention

• Feedback emails are kept only as long as necessary to respond and improve SkyMe
• Watchlist data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time within the app
• No persistent user accounts or cloud profiles are created
• Website analytics data (if consented) is retained according to Google Analytics default retention periods (e.g., 2 months or 14 months) and is anonymized.

6. Data Security

• HTTPS encryption where available
• Secure hosting and regular security updates
• Limited administrative access to systems

While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the Service.

7. Your Rights

• Request deletion of feedback emails you have sent
• Ask questions about our data practices
• Decline or withdraw consent for website analytics via the cookie banner or browser settings
